Description: A video of me thanking everyone that helped me throughout my operation and recuperation process NEW INFORMATION ADDED Hey whats this information is for those who were wondering what I had/have Aka Commenters you better read it all because it took me forever to find, write and edit info lol :/ BTW Need Videos Coming soon! of me learning to re walk, etc. I have a neurological disorder called Cerebral palsy aka (CP) "The term cerebral palsy refers to having many neurological disorders that appear in infancy or early childhood and permanently affect body movement and muscle coordination but don't worsen over time. Even though cerebral palsy affects muscle movement, it isn't caused by problems in the muscles or nerves. It is caused by abnormalities in parts of the brain that control muscle movements. The majority of children with cerebral palsy are born with it, although it may not be detected until months or years later. The early signs of cerebral palsy usually appear before a child reaches 3 years of age. The most common are a lack of muscle coordination when performing voluntary movements (ataxia); stiff or tight muscles and exaggerated reflexes (spasticity); walking with one foot or leg dragging; walking on the toes, a crouched gait, or a "scissored" gait; and muscle tone that is either too stiff or too floppy. A small number of children have cerebral palsy as the result of brain damage in the first few months or years of life, brain infections such as bacterial meningitis or viral encephalitis, or head injury from a motor vehicle accident, a fall, or child abuse." in may case specifically what I have is a form of Cerebral palsy referred to as Spastic diplegia. Spastic diplegia is present when both legs are affected by cerebral palsy. A patient may have difficulty walking because of tight muscles in the hips and legs, causing the legs to turn inward and cross at the knees. This causes the legs to move stiff and awkward causing a characteristic walking rhythm known as the scissors gait. Besides this I also had flat feet that turned outward this is one of the problems that was fixed in this recent operation one of the the others problem that was fixed in this specific operation was me being bent almost to the point where it looked like I was in a siting down position while walking if you saw you would probably laugh trust me even I have laughed at my self when I see videos of how I used to walk before my operation aside from everything that I have already mentioned the final part of my condition is the main part in the brain as far as I know was damaged "the Cerebellum" which Maintains posture, balance and coordination of movement in other words it controls and provides balance Aka Very important for survival. The Motor cortex which Sends instructions to muscles to cause voluntary movements was also partially affected. For example if I were standing and you were to slight bump me while I had my guard down I would fall so fast there would be no stopping it of course this an extreme example and although it can and has happened with efforts and improvements and thanks modern technology it does not happen very often maybe twice year I don't keep count its just an estimate :) Some Information was taken from the following sites I did right and edit most of it :) If you would like know more about this condition please visit the following sites they provide the must accurate and up date information on the subject/disability/condition http://www.ninds.nih.gov/disorders/cerebral_palsy/cerebral_palsy.htm http://www.cerebralpalsysource.com/Types_of_CP/spastic_diplegia/index.html If there were any miss spelling please forgive me as I am a treble speller and yes I did spell check several times and proof read this is why it took so long to put plus I Wanted have accurate info so yea Peace!
